Chelsea sealed off a crucial win against relegation bound Everton scoring a whooping 6 goals past the Merseyside side on Monday evening. This win leaves the Blues within three points off sixth placed Newcastle and with a game to spare keeping their European spot hopes alive.

Cole Palmer, who has been the main shining light for Chelsea during their turbulent season, scored 4 goals including a perfect hat-trick, bringing his total goal tally to 20 in the league, making him EPL’s top-scorer, tied with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

This was his second hat-trick of the season after scoring one against Manchester United in Chelsea’s previous home-game at Stamford bridge. With his four goals against Everton, his tally has now gotten to 20 goals and 13 assists for Chelsea in 37 appearances.

Nicolas Jackson also netted his 10th goal of the season while Cobham graduate, Alfie Gilchrist, sealed off a humiliating night for the visitors with his first ever Chelsea goal to make it 6-0.

It wouldn’t be a full Chelsea game without some drama and this time Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke were the main culprits arguing over who should take the spot kick. Quite embarrassingly, despite Palmer being the number one penalty taker, the two bickered over who deserved to take it and ended up shoving one another until Gallagher, who skippered the side, stepped in and gave the ball to Palmer.

This win is definitely a step in the right direction for Chelsea as they prepare to face a tougher challenge in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, when they face Manchester City in four days.
